Every penny government spends is ours. Every decision made without our knowledge, every tax we never knew existed, every billion redirected while people go without β it ends here.
Across Britain right now, millions of people who have spent their entire working lives paying into this country β people who built it, staffed it, served in it β are living in a kind of poverty that should not exist in the world's sixth largest economy.
Not because Britain is poor. But because the money that should have served them has been redirected, quietly, without scrutiny, without debate, and without ever asking the British public whether they agree.
These are not statistics. These are people who worked hard, paid their taxes, and were told β implicitly, repeatedly β that this country had their back. It doesn't. And most people don't know the half of what's being spent in their name.
Spending decisions are not inherently wrong. But spending decisions made without transparency, without accountability, and without the knowledge of the people who fund them β that is a democratic failure.
We are not here to tell you what you should think about any of this. We are here to give you the information, the transparency, and the platform to form your own view β and to make that view count.
Britain is not one community. It is thousands β teachers, nurses, engineers, entrepreneurs, pensioners, students, farmers, small business owners. Each with a different experience of government. Each with a different stake in how Britain is run.
We are building Britain's first citizen accountability councils β independent, non-partisan groups drawn from the communities that make this country work. Not politicians. Not commentators. Real people, with real stakes, given a real platform.
Each council represents a major constituency of British life β empowered to scrutinise government spending and policy that directly affects them, and to publish their findings publicly.
Councils are chaired by credible, independent voices from within each sector β people with standing in their field, with no political affiliation, and with genuine skin in the game. They publish regular findings, participate in our national voice platform, and hold government departments to account on the issues that matter most to the people they represent.
This is accountability from the ground up. Not from Westminster down.
We are not a political party. We do not support any party. We do not take positions on whether spending was right or wrong. We take the position that you β the British public β deserve to know, deserve to be asked, and deserve to be heard.
We are funded by the people who use this platform, by organisations who believe in transparency, and by the civic-minded individuals who have decided that this country needs a different kind of conversation.
Every figure we publish comes from HMRC, the OBR, ONS, or parliamentary records. We do not manufacture data. We do not exaggerate. We take the real numbers β and we explain them in plain English, so that every person in Britain can understand exactly what is happening with their money.
